I have wanted to get updated pictures of Payton (for my house and for my mom's wall of Grandchildren). I asked Tamaron to take them for me. It was actually a lot of fun, early Saturday morning we went to downtown Gilbert and walked around. We went early in the morning, so Payton being dressed in a sweater and jeans didn't look too crazy since it cools down a lot at night. It was really fun walking around and it was really funny because we saw a TON of other people doing the same thing (walking around and taking pictures). Payton LOVED walking around, she got mad whenever I picked her up to cross the street. She also LOVED saying "Hi!" to everyone she saw. There were a couple of people she even wanted to follow, and she started crying when I told her to come with me instead of following them. Anyways, here are some of the pictures Tamaron took. I love them and couldn't be more thrilled on how they turned out. Thanks Tamaron!

Fall Activities
This fall has been fun doing more activities with Payton now that she's older and enjoys running around. So one day when I went and picked up Payton after work I was talking with Paige and Danny and we decided to go take the kids to pick out pumpkins. It was fun, Payton tried to eat the pumpkins, and Payton and Logan's favorite part of the outing; standing by the fence and waving to cars saying "hi!". It was really cute. Here are a few pictures.

We also went to our wards Trunk-or-Treat yesterday. That's about all we're doing for Halloween, but it was a lot of fun and Payton was an adorable angel. Payton's favorite part of the Halloween party was running up and down the hill (seriously that's all she did).

As exciting as Halloween gets for 16 month olds
Happy Halloween!

Wonderful Start to Fall Break
This week is my Fall Break. I'm SO excited for it. I love any break so I can have more time with Payton, but it's also nice to just relax and not have to worry about work for a little bit. (Even though I'll still have lots of work to do this week). I told myself that today I wasn't going to do anything work related. I just wanted to enjoy my first day of break with Payton and not worry about grading, report cards or anything along those lines. So I did :)
The weather has been really nice here lately. It's cooling off FINALLY! At night it gets around 60 degrees (AMAZING), and during the day it's been in the 80's. (That's cool here). So this morning Payton and I went for a walk and walked to a park that is close by. We played and went down slides. (She even went down slides all by herself!). We climbed and played in sand. It was a lot of fun, and a great start to a much needed Fall Break.

Birthday Weekend!
This past weekend Payton and I traveled to Utah to visit family and celebrate my birthday with my dad. We left Thursday night, and my parents picked us up from the airport. It was fun to see them and it was so exciting to know what was going to happen over the weekend.
So my Dad had planned this WONDERFUL birthday weekend for us. He was planning on there being five of us all weekend (Mom, Dad, Bessers, Payton and me). But what he didn't know is that we were going to surprise him. Jonathan and Amanda's family were going to drive to Utah from Nebraska, and Lindsay and Everett were going to fly in from Chicago. It was VERY hard to keep it a secret from him for so long. He was so excited to just have us there, we were all anxious to see his reaction when he saw everyone else.
Mom and I were trying to finalize details on Friday with everyone. Our original plan wasn't going to work. Dad was very set on us eating dinner at Brick Oven before we went to the BYU girls soccer game. So Friday was a pretty relaxing morning/afternoon, mom and I went on a walk with Payton and we went to a park and played. Then we went for a drive around the Alpine Loop with Dad. It was gorgeous and we were able to take lots of pictures.

Birthday Buddies
I LOVE this picture of Payton with Grandma and Grandpa
So after our drive we driving back to Provo to go eat at Brick Oven. Mom was suggesting we just take our time and drive around. (I had made reservations at Brick Oven at 4:00, and we were going to get everyone there by then). While we were in the car Lindsay called to say Happy Birthday (dad had no idea she was actually in Utah when she called), and then Michael called as well. So while Dad is talking to everyone, I'm texting everyone to see where they are. (They hadn't gotten to Brick Oven yet). So mom and I finally get texts from Jonathan and Amanda saying they were there. (Little did we know they had literally walked in minutes before we did). So Dad parks the car, we walk in and Bessers comes out to show us where we were sitting. As we start walking into the room Jonathan and Amanda and their family jump out and yell surprise! The look on Dad's face was absolutely Priceless!!! He was SO excited and shocked to see them. The tears in his eyes were so sweet and his words summed it up even better. He said, "I've never been surprised."
I think what made the surprise even better was how surprised Dad was when he realized that we were ALL going to go to Sundance together :) (Something he had planned for us to do originally). If anyone knows Dad, they know he LOVES Sundance. So it was awesome to see how excited he was when he found out everyone was going to be there. We had a great lunch there and rode the ski lift. It was gorgeous, and very cold. But the kids were troopers.

It was a great birthday and so much fun to surprise Dad! I don't get to be around family very often on my birthday, and to be with a lot of my family on my birthday was awesome! The best part though, was surprising Dad. LOVE YOU DAD!

15 Months!
I can't believe that this Little Mama is already 15 months old!
Today we had her 15 month appointment, and let's just say it was a little more traumatic than any other appointment we had. Payton was having a blast in the waiting room, but I swear the moment she heard her name she knew something was up.
When we got back to the room I had to lay her on the table so they could measure her height and head circumference. The second I laid her down she FREAKED out and started crying harder than ever. Then we went out to the scale to weigh her and she LOST it. Even when the nurse took her temperature (which consisted of rolling the thermometer across her forehead) she freaked out even more. I felt terrible.
We get back in the room and waited for her doctor to come in. I got her settled down, but then the second the doctor walked in Payton started crying again. Her doctor hadn't even touched her yet. Now I can't say I'm super shocked at her freaking out at the doctors, because if anyone knows me they know I freak out at the doctors. (Just like a couple weeks ago I went to go get my stitches taken out and pretty sure I freaked myself out over that).
Even though it was a traumatic appointment, it was nice to know my little girl is healthy! She weighs 22 pounds 14 ounces (50th percentile), 31 inches long (75th percentile) and head circumference is 19 inches (95th percentile....true Wilson baby).
She had to get four shots today. Which almost made me cry. I'm terrified of needles, but normally I can hold myself together pretty well while Payton gets shots. Today was a little different. It's like she was more aware of what was happening, and I could feel her little body tense up and cling to my shoulders as she was getting her shots. Of course her crying got a lot harder as well, which didn't make it easy for me told hold it together, but I did.
What kills me is the second the shots were done and the nurse was walking away, Payton was TOTALLY fine. She acted like nothing had just happened.
Just being adorable and showing off her band-aids
Watching Baby Einstein
Doing what we do best, watch Ellen.
I'm so grateful for my happy, healthy little girl. Here are just some other random pictures of Payton being adorable. Enjoy!
Hey! :)
Where's Payton?
