Easter

This Easter was a lot of fun and very relaxing. Saturday morning our ward had an Easter breakfast and an Easter egg hunt for the kids. When we pulled up to the park Payton screamed with excitement from the car all the way to the park, she was SO excited!

When it came time to do the Easter egg hunt Payton was excited, but obviously had no clue why. She just saw everyone else was excited so she copied their emotions. Wen they shouted "GO!" Payton took off running and squealing. She didn't know why she was running and squealing but she was excited and saw other kids doing it to so she did it too. Se could have cared less about the eggs. Se was content even after one. Our ward has a TON of kids.....well over 130 in the primary and over 20 in the nursery, so you had to be fast to get any eggs. We got a couple, and Payton was happy.

So happy on the way home

Sunday morning Payton didn't ale up until 7:00 (only because she woke up at 4:00 originally and then fell back asleep). So when we did wake up she went and saw her basket. She ran up and said "wow!" It was adorable.  I had hid a couple of eggs around the house, but she was content in getting just one.  We played with her toys for a bit but then had to get ready for church.

Overall it was a very nice and relaxing Easter.  We had plenty of time to reflect on the real meaning of Easter; Our Savior.  There were some amazing lessons at church about the Atonement that were perfect for today.  I'm so grateful for this wonderful holiday where we can reflect on our Savior and all he has done for us, and hope that I can continue to strive and live worthy to return to Him some day.
