Payton's 2nd Birthday!

It's hard to believe that my little Payton is two years old already!  It has been SO much fun watching her learn and grow and just being her mom.  I'm beyond blessed to be her mother and to have such a sweet, funny, caring little girl.

It's not like I had a huge party planned or anything, but I loved decorating and getting things ready for her birthday!  This year was really fun because she was definitely into opening presents and gave lots of little interjections while opening presents like "Wow!" or "Ooooohhhh!".  It was really cute.

We had a fun day going to the zoo and playing with her new toys.

I told Mom I deserve an award, this is what Grandma and Grandpa got Payton, but it took me about an hour and a half to put it together, this puppy wasn't easy ;)

 Birthday decorations :)

 Presents

The first thing Payton saw and ran to was this

 Giving her puppy a ride

 Payton LOVES Curious George :)

 Opening presents

Playing with decorations (the one bad thing about having Strawberry Shortcake decorations is that she wanted to hold all of them instead of having them be decorations)

 Lookin' good baby

When we went to the zoo it was supposed to be a HOT day!  (Seriously like 120 degrees hot).  So we made sure to get there early so it wasn't too hot then.  We took a little break and played around in the splash pad for a bit.

Trying to drink the water (So gross.  This is when I decided we were done with the splash pad).

Payton's favorite animal of all time is a monkey!  She LOVES monkeys thanks to Curious George)  So it was only fitting that we stopped by Monkey Village at the zoo.  It was really cute we got to go and watch these little guys just run around.

Trying to stay cool and keep the sun out of her face (no worries we wore LOTS of sunscreen as well)

One of my favorites was the giraffes.....look at this guy just posing for the camera ;)

Later that night we had cake (it was very low key).  Payton doesn't like sweets, so I made a little cupcake for her to see if she'd eat it.  Well she's really good at pretending to eat it...

We had already sung and she even blew out her candles, but she decided to stop and sing Happy Birthday to herself :)

This is literally as close to her cupcake as she got.  She got a little bit of frosting on her lips, and that was all.  She didn't want anymore.

Even though it was a low key birthday it was a lot of fun, and Payton had a blast as well.  I can't believe my little girl is two!  Love you lots Payton!  Happy Birthday!
